Below you will find my frequently asked questions. Please review this FAQ page before submitting a request.

  • I tattoo out of Iron Thorn Tattoo located in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, USA.

  • When my books are open you will find a link to my booking form on my website and on my Instagram account.

  • Cash and Credit Card

  • I typically book sessions in half or full-day increments. I currently charge $500 for a half-day and $750 for a full day.

    All approved requests will be given an estimate at booking but please note that this is an ESTIMATE only. While I try to be as accurate as possible when quoting multiple factors could impact pricing. If you need to adhere to a very strict budget please be clear about that when booking.

  • At this point in my career, I am open to a range of styles.

    I gravitate towards:

    - black and grey realism

    - color realism

    - neotraditional

    - blackwork

    For subject matter, I enjoy:

    - Unique florals

    - Botanical/fruits/etc.

    - Animals & bugs

    - Anything Studio Ghibli

    - Antiques: Vases/perfume bottles/ mirrors/etc

    - Ornamental pieces

    - Lady faces

    - Fairies

    - Moody fantasy/witchy themes

  • I typically do consults via email only. This ensures I have all details documented and nothing gets missed!

  • Once my books open I aim to get back to everyone within 1-2 weeks, however, sometimes it may be a little longer. Please note that not all requests will get approved. I try to focus on subject matter and style that matches my expertise and interest. However, we will respond to all requests so you haven’t heard back and feel your request may have been missed - feel free to send a follow-up email after 2 weeks have elapsed.

  • Currently, my deposits are $75 and are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions, so please be aware of this before you book. Deposits are taken when we are booking and are required for EACH appointment booked. So if you are booking two sessions you will require two, $75 deposits.

  • Please email us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or reschedule through the confirmation email link sent to you a week before your appointment. If you are rescheduling with less than 7 days’ notice and more than one time or if you are more than 20+ minutes late to your appt your deposit will be forfeited (exceptions at the artist’s discretion). A deposit is required to hold all appointments so if you cancel a session without enough notice or multiple times and you have future appointments booked, all sessions will be removed from the schedule unless a new deposit is sent.

    Deposits are good for 6 months from the date of the original appointment canceled.

  • ALL designs will be shown on the day of your appointment. I do allot extra time for minor changes on the day of your appointment. Please familiarize yourself with my body of work on my Instagram to ensure my style matches what you are looking for.

    I encourage you to add reference photos of my work you feel most represents what you are looking for.

  • This is on a case-by-case basis. When inquiring please send a photo of the old tattoo or scar with information on how old the tattoo or scar is. This will allow me to have a better idea of your options. I have limited experience in this realm, but I want to gain more. So I will only take on projects I feel comfortable with.

  • Please read my pre-appointment tips here.

  • To keep foot traffic down in the shop we ask that you come alone, unless otherwise discussed. Children are not allowed in the shop, so please arrange for childcare in advance.

    If you would like to bring one person to your appointment please email me ahead of time (alexus.inks@gmail.com) for confirmation.

  • Please communicate with me before using any numbing creams before your session. Often brands can have a negative effect on your tattoo so it is not recommended. I do offer numbing agents during your session to help manage the pain if needed.

  • Please let us know as soon as possible if you are not feeling well and need to reschedule your appointment. Any appointments rescheduled due to illness must be rescheduled within two months or the deposit may be forfeited.

  • Once your appointment has been approved and the deposit has been received your appointment/idea is then considered confirmed. Any major changes after this point may require a NEW deposit (the original deposit would be forfeited) and your appointment date/time may be changed. Minor tweaks/changes are ok!

    Please, be sure of your idea and the quoted price estimate when you book your appointment!

  • Please give as much notice as you can if you cannot make your appointment. Deposits may be forfeited with less than 7 days’ notice, rescheduling an appt more than once, or if you are 20+ minutes late for your appt (with exceptions at my discretion).

  • Please, email me immediately at alexus.inks@gmail.com if this is the case. Showing up to your tattoo session with a sunburn or injury to the area will result in you needing to be rescheduled and your deposit will be forfeited and a new one will be required to rebook.

  • After your tattoo session, you need to wait at least 1 month for the tattoo to fully heal. If you feel it needs a touch-up the first session is complimentary* within 3 months of your original tattoo.

    *Finger tattoos and some feet tattoos are exempt from free touch-ups and are always charged at a 50% rate due to the nature of the skin there.
